Epson ColorLife Paper

This is top of the range inkjet paper for the Epson 890 and 1290 printers with quoted archival qualities of 25 years.

Although expensive, around £44 for twenty-five sheets of A3+ paper, an ICC profile is available, if you know where to look! This helps to produce perfect prints every time, and saves a lot of wasted paper, so it can even work cheaper in the long run.

The appropriate ICC profile is not even mentioned on the Epson UK website! In fact there is no reference to ColorLife paper at all. In the USA the 1290 printer has a different name:- the Epson 1280. So, go to the American Epson web-site for the 1280 and low and behold you will find an ICC profile for ColorLife paper and the 1280, plus instructions on how to install it. Follow these instructions precisely.

I only hope that A3 ColorLife will be available soon as A3+ is expensive, even from 7dayshop.com. Although you should be able to print with confidence, I would always suggest doing an A4 test print first, which will also show up any dust or hairs you missed correcting after doing a scan.
