The Epson Photo 1290 has many new features, such as a setting to automatically produce sepia colour prints and an optional adapter to print continuous (6x4 inch) photos from an 8m long roll of Premium Photo Glossy paper, with edge to edge printing (no border). There is also an option to take a roll of 390mm wide roll to print images up to 4ft long, but not edge to edge! The Photo 1290 has a printing resolution of 2880 x 720 dpi.
The 1200, 1270 and 1290 take up to A3+ paper which enables you to print an image at full A3 size with crop marks etc. around the outside. The smaller A4 sized model is the Photo 870 or the new replacement Photo 790 or 890, the 890 being faster.
Current mail-order price for the Photo 890 is £160 and the Photo 1290 £249. All prices including VAT.
The Photo 875 printer, which will take images directly from various digital camera memory cards. Can print from a roll of paper (as the 1270 above), but is restricted to a smaller roll to print 6x4 inch images.
